Manifest Destiny and the Mexican-American War

 

POLK DECLARES WAR ON MEXICO TO GAIN LAND

With Manifest Destiny as his rationale, Polk declared war on Mexico to gain land, as the people of his nation mired in bitter argument over his decisions.
